Residential alarm systems offer piece of mind that your belongings, and most importantly your family, will be protected against burglars.  Of course they also offer protection against such hazards as fire, carbon monoxide and more.

Pictured above is a Napco wireless key fob transmitter

Beyond piece of mind, what if you could also achieve the utmost in convenience and help avoid false alarms at the same time?  What if you could know if your system had an alarm event before you even entered to view your keypad?  Would you also like to be able to arm and disarm your alarm system from your driveway?

It's certainly convenient to know if your system is armed or disarmed when you drive up to your house--to know that you don't have to get to the keypad right away to disarm hastily once you've opened the door.  In some cases, the security system may have already been disarmed.

In order to enjoy this convenience, simply arrange for your security company to integrate a wireless key fob transmitter into your security panel and also to install a receiver.  This key fob can be placed on your key chain and can perform the functions mentioned above, as well as others.

The transmitter also has the functionality to alert the police directly with the touch of one button.  People may want to keep a key fob by their bedside in case an intruder were to enter during the night.  No matter where fobs are kept, if the panic button for police is enabled, customers should obviously take care not to hit it by mistake and to keep it out of reach of children.

Napco Security, a partner of ours here at One Source Security, offers a key fob transmitter with a simple-to-read LCD screen.  It displays symbols such as a lock showing in the locked or unlocked position to indicate if the system is armed or disarmed.  It offers one-touch buttons to arm or disarm the system once you are outside of the house.

Napco's product boasts a range of 750 feet and a battery life of three years.  Each receiver accomodates two key fob transmitters.

So if you don't have a key fob transmitter on your security system at home, please contact your security integrator for details.  You simply can't go wrong with more convenience and fewer false alarms.

Thanks for spending some time with us today.
